Join Us at the Forefront of Quantum Computing Innovation 🚀

At Quandela, we're scaling up the industrial production of our semiconductor, photonic and quantum products. Reporting to the VP Industrial Operations, you'll lead the technical management of our sites, cleanrooms, utilities and production equipment, and ensure our industrial environment is safe, reliable and ready to support production growth. A hands-on, rigorous role at the crossroads of technical, operational and management levels. You will be responsible for the Massy, Palaiseau, and Munich sites, and you will manage a team of 5 people.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our buildings, cleanrooms and technical installations, ensuring stable environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, particle control) for Front-End, Back-End and other industrial activities
  • Supervise space planning as the company grows, defining needs and coordinating office moves, layout changes and new workspace openings with internal teams and external providers.
  • Oversee office services and workplace policies (access, mail, supplies, meeting rooms), working with the Office team and service providers, and use employee feedback to drive continuous improvement of the workplace experience.
  • Oversee access to sensitive areas and define business continuity measures to protect production in case of infrastructure failure
  • Ensure the capacity, reliability and compliance of all industrial utilities: electrical power, process gases, vacuum, water and cooling, HVAC and cryogenic systems
  • Anticipate utility needs as production grows, and identify capacity limits before they become constraints
  • Own the production equipment base from a technical-availability perspective, from installation and hook-up to relocation, commissioning, upgrades and obsolescence management
  • Lead preventive, corrective and regulatory maintenance, structure and manage the CMMS, and secure critical spare parts and maintenance contracts
  • Manage technical suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, responsiveness and cost control
  • Own operational HSE across our sites: risk assessments, DUERP, safety rules and training, covering cleanrooms, chemicals and gases, lasers, cryogenics, high voltage, pressure systems, confined spaces and ATEX where applicable
  • Investigate incidents, lead corrective actions and build a strong safety culture with operational teams
  • Lead or coordinate cleanroom, laboratory, utility and facility-extension projects, from requirements and design through construction, commissioning and handover to Production
  • Coordinate calibration, regulatory inspections and technical records to ensure full compliance of facilities and equipment
  • Translate production and industrialization roadmaps into infrastructure, equipment and CAPEX plans, including future capacity and automation needs
  • Plan interventions and shutdowns with Production to minimize impact, and ensure equipment is technically validated before release back to service
  • Define and track key KPIs: equipment and utility availability, MTBF/MTTR, preventive maintenance completion, maintenance backlog, critical spare availability, infrastructure incidents and HSE action closure

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or Master's in Facilities, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, HSE or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial facilities, production equipment, maintenance and/or HSE, ideally in semiconductor, photonics, deeptech or cleanroom environments
  • Proven experience managing technical projects, from requirements to commissioning, within budget and schedule
  • Solid track record in managing technical suppliers, service providers and maintenance contracts
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance organization (preventive, corrective, regulatory) and equipment availability KPIs
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial utilities and building systems (electrical, HVAC, gases, vacuum, cooling)
  • Good command of industrial risk management and HSE regulations, with the ability to lead risk assessments and corrective actions
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a structured and data-driven approach
  • Hands-on and rigorous, comfortable working across technical, operational and management levels
  • Fluent in French and English

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, flexible based on your experience
  • Profit-sharing & company savings plan
  • 100% health coverage (Alan)
  • 50% transport reimbursement or sustainable mobility bonus
  • Meal vouchers (Swile), Gymlib fitness support
  • Childcare assistance & referral bonuses (€1,000–€2,000)

What we offer:

  • A meaningful role with real ownership, from day one
  • A team eager to collaborate and grow with you
  • A hybrid work model (4 days/week onsite in Massy, 1 day remotely/month depends on the activity)
  • Daily exposure to the entire quantum stack — from high-level APIs to low-level firmware, and everything in between.

Process

  • Talent Acquisition Interview (45')
  • Hiring Manager Interview (45')
  • Use Case (a live use case or one to be prepared at home and presented afterward)
  • Meeting with the teams
  • 2 reference check
  • Offer
