About us

TERA Environnement and Toxilabo are two specialist French laboratories delivering advanced analytical services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and industrial sectors.

Together, we provide complementary expertise in contamination control, toxicology, industrial hygiene, biological monitoring and analytical method development. Our work helps organisations protect people, manage chemical risks and solve complex scientific and regulatory challenges.

With 86 specialists, combined revenues approaching €13 million and sustained growth over the past five years, we have an established technical foundation and significant opportunities for further commercial development.

As part of Celnor Group's Analytical Sciences Division, we combine the expertise and agility of specialist laboratories with the support of a growing international group.

We are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager – Pharma & Healthcare to lead new-business growth across France and Europe.

The opportunity

This is a strategic new-business development opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional who enjoys opening markets, winning clients and building relationships that deliver long-term value.

Representing both TERA Environnement and Toxilabo, you will develop our presence across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare sectors, identifying new opportunities and connecting prospective clients with our specialist analytical capabilities.

You will take ownership of new-client acquisition, from identifying and engaging prospects through to developing proposals, negotiating agreements and securing new business.

Working closely with our laboratory managers and scientific experts, you will also help identify emerging market needs, influence the development of new services and shape our future commercial strategy.

This is a role with genuine autonomy, technical depth and the opportunity to make a measurable contribution to business growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute a targeted new-business development strategy across the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets in France and Europe.
  • Identify, prospect and secure new clients, building a strong pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities.
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers across pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, healthcare, medical devices and associated scientific industries.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders across R&D, quality, production, EHS, occupational health and engineering.
  • Understand clients' technical challenges and work with our laboratory experts to develop tailored analytical solutions.
  • Lead the commercial sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposals, negotiation and contract completion.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new clients to the complementary services of both laboratories.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer insight to support innovation and the development of new analytical services.
  • Represent TERA Environnement and Toxilabo at industry exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, commercial forecasts and pipeline reporting.

What we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced business development professional with a strong track record of winning new clients in a technical or scientific environment.

Essential experience and skills

  • Proven B2B business development experience, ideally gained over 5–10 years within scientific, technical or analytical services.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, medical devices, analytical laboratories, industrial hygiene or a closely related sector.
  • A demonstrable record of identifying, developing and converting new-business opportunities.
  • Experience selling complex technical services, analytical solutions or consultative services.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, relationship-building and strategic account-development skills.
  • The confidence to engage with both senior commercial decision-makers and scientific or technical specialists.
  • A proactive, organised approach to business development, pipeline management and CRM reporting.
  • Fluent French, both written and spoken, at a professional level.
  • Strong professional English skills for international commercial and technical discussions.
  • Willingness to travel across France and Europe according to business requirements.

Qualifications

A Master's degree or equivalent in chemistry, pharmacy, toxicology, biology, environmental health or a related scientific discipline would be advantageous.

We will also consider candidates with a commercial educational background and substantial experience developing business within scientific or technical services.

Your ability to win business, understand customer challenges and build credible relationships will be central to your success.

Why join us?

  • Shape our growth: Take ownership of developing new business within a strategically important market.
  • Represent two specialist laboratories: Offer clients a distinctive combination of analytical, toxicological and contamination-control expertise.
  • Work alongside scientific experts: Collaborate directly with experienced laboratory managers and technical specialists.
  • Influence our future offering: Help identify emerging opportunities and contribute to the development of new services.
  • Enjoy autonomy and flexibility: Manage your territory and commercial priorities, with flexibility over your location in France.
  • Join a growing international group: Benefit from the specialist culture of TERA Environnement and Toxilabo alongside the wider support of Celnor Group.
  • Be rewarded for your contribution: Receive a competitive base salary with a commission structure, discussed during the interview process.

Ready to shape our next stage of growth?

If you have the commercial ambition to develop new markets, the technical curiosity to understand complex scientific challenges and the drive to turn opportunities into lasting client relationships, we would like to hear from you.

Join TERA Environnement and Toxilabo and play a key role in developing our pharmaceutical and healthcare business across France and Europe.
