Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Storage Administrator to join our Infrastructure team and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise backup and recovery services across multiple sites. This role is responsible for managing storage protection environments, supporting backup operations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of data protection processes and technologies.

Responsabilities:

  • Manage and operate IBM TSM / Storage Protect environments (10 servers);
  • Ensure data backup, recovery, retention policies, and system health;
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform restores, and maintain documentation;
  • Propose improvements, procedures, and best practices;
  • Work closely with Infrastructure, DBA, and Security teams;
  • Participate in on-call rotation (CET timezone).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong expertise in IBM TSM / Storage Protect (v8+) on AIX and Linux;
  • Advanced knowledge of backup, archives, tape libraries, and DB2 (SQL);
  • Experience with VMware, NDMP, and S3;
  • Scripting skills in Shell, Python, and SQL;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate and train users;
  • English level B2-C1.

Additional Information

  • Knowledge of Dell, IBM, or Hitachi storage technologies is considered an advantage;
  • Experience with IBM Power Systems (AIX and Linux) is considered an advantage;
  • ITIL knowledge is considered an advantage.
