About the role

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Tester with SCADA experience to join our team in Västerås. In this role, you will apply your application knowledge and business process experience to test and verify the functionality and performance of large-scale SCADA systems. Your work will ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards and are delivered according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), on time, within budget, and with excellence.

Your Main Responsibilities

Run test scenarios and system tests to ensure quality before release.

Write and maintain test scenarios to verify that all requirements are fulfilled.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, projects, and customers to deliver high-quality IS solutions/services.

Assess functionality and tests for automation opportunities.

Participate in defining test strategies and test plans.

Verify bug fixes and support continuous quality improvements.

Support colleagues and contribute to a strong quality culture.

Test large-scale SCADA systems, including front-end applications and backend servers.

Your Profile

We are looking for a curious, solution-oriented, and meticulous individual with a passion for quality and a drive to challenge yourself. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate complex topics clearly, and take pride in delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

3–5 years of work experience in software testing, preferably in large and complex systems such as SCADA.

Mandatory SCADA knowledge and experience.

Hands-on experience with designing and maintaining system test scenarios.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.

Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum.

Knowledge of test methodologies, strategies, and system testing.

Experience with functional, performance, security, and automation testing for SCADA.

Knowledge of Linux operating systems and network protocols.

ISTQB certification or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.

Fluency in English (written and spoken)
