Help shape robust, high-performing products through advanced structural analysis. As a Structural Analysis Engineer in our Advanced CAE team, you will turn simulations into clear engineering decisions—from early concepts to product verification.
The team is an experienced specialist team within R&D in Huskvarna and work closely with design engineers, test engineers, project teams, and other experts across Husqvarna Group. The role gives you broad exposure to the product-development process and the opportunity to influence both product design and the way we use simulation.
Role Description
In this role you will plan, perform, and evaluate structural analyses throughout the product-development process. Your work will support concept selection, design improvements, verification, and root-cause investigations. The analyses may include linear and nonlinear structural behavior, durability, dynamics, and impact, depending on product and project needs.
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will take technical ownership of your analyses: defining the question, selecting an appropriate method, assessing model quality and assumptions, interpreting results, and communicating conclusions and recommendations. Collaboration with physical testing and design functions to build confidence in the results is another part of this role, as is contributing to improved methods, automation, guidelines, and good CAE practices across the organisation.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who combines sound engineering judgement with curiosity and a practical approach to problem-solving. You are comfortable working independently, while actively seeking input and sharing knowledge with others. The ability to explain complex analysis results in a way that helps colleagues and project teams making well-founded decisions is also an important trait.
You structure your work, take responsibility for quality and delivery, and can balance several assignments in a project-driven environment. Just as importantly, you are motivated by learning—deepening your expertise, exploring new methods, and contributing to the development of the team.
What you bring
A Master’s degree, or equivalent competence, in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or a related field with a focus on structural mechanics
Relevant professional experience in structural analysis or CAE, including finite element analysis
The ability to define analysis tasks, assess assumptions and model quality, interpret results, and provide actionable engineering recommendations
The ability to communicate technical content clearly in reports, presentations, and engineering discussions
Very good spoken and written English
Swedish-language skills, or a willingness to develop them
It is an advantage if you also have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Pre- and post-processing in ANSA and META
Solvers or multibody tools such as LS-DYNA, Nastran, or Adams
Nonlinear analysis, dynamics, impact, fatigue, or correlation between simulation and physical testing
Python scripting, workflow automation, and AI-assisted software development
Exploring or implementing AI and agent-based solutions for simulation workflows, engineering decision support, knowledge reuse, or quality assurance
Working in a Linux environment
