APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide technical and functional support within a Banking & Financing Services environment. This role is focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications, while acting as a bridge between business users and IT teams. You will be responsible for maintaining application services, supporting production activities, managing releases, improving operational efficiency through automation, and contributing to an enhanced user experience through proactive monitoring and analysis.
What You Will Do on a Daily Basis
- Provide technical and functional support to business users and stakeholders.
- Monitor and supervise application performance, ensuring service stability and operational continuity.
- Manage incidents, investigate root causes, and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Coordinate and support application releases, deployments, and technical integrations.
- Analyse application performance, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to process automation initiatives.
- Manage functional change requests and support business evolution needs.
- Maintain and enrich application documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Investigate the impact of patches, releases, and infrastructure changes on application environments.
- Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday support rotations when required.

Your Main Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or similar roles.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications in complex IT environments.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, incident management, and release management processes.
- Experience analysing technical and functional issues and coordinating resolutions across multiple teams.
- Ability to automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting.
- Understanding of production and infrastructure requirements within an ITOps framework.
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to participate in shift schedules and rotational weekend or holiday support when required.
- Fluency in English.
