RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and resolve (in collaboration with IT support where necessary) user technical issues related to the operation of the Yardi system, particularly in relation to accounting consolidations and investor allocation or reporting.
Have a leading role in Yardi implementations, including the set-up of funds in the system, automation of consolidation and intercompany accounting, investor allocation requirements, and gathering of requirements for custom reporting.
Work with the European Real Estate operations team leads to ensure best practices are used consistently across our Real Estate service offerings.
Work with EMEA Real Estate Platform Leader and Technical Manager to review, suggest, and implement process improvements to ensure compliance adherence across Real Estate accounting/operations group.
Have a strong understanding of the tools and resources needed to meet deliverables.
Assist in the design and delivery of training materials & plans, ensure teams are adequately trained, and provide feedback to trainees and trainer where appropriate on gaps that need to be addressed.
Coach and support operations team members in the best practice use of the system and adoption of new functionality.
Provide training and guidance to more junior members of the Platform Delivery Team.
SKILL & EXPERIENCE:
Experience of consolidation accounting for multi-currency structures, preferably under IFRS or a similar global GAAP, is essential.
A professional accounting qualification or part-qualification is desirable but not essential.
Experience of investment fund structures in an accounting or other operational role is essential, preferably in relation to real estate investments.
Experience working with formal, structured, rules-based accounting systems (other than excel or generic spreadsheet tools) is essential.
Experience of Yardi software is highly desirable but not essential for this role.
The following characteristics are also essential for candidates:
Excellent written communication and documentation skills, with experience preparing clear documentation, operating procedures or user guides.
Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-stakeholder support environment, engaging with a wide range of colleagues from technical vendor teams to non-technical end-users.
Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
