Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

Your mission

As our new Property Assistant, your mission is to safeguard and elevate cleanliness standards across our portfolio in and around North Yorkshire. Working closely with our Regional Operations Manager and third-party cleaning partners, you’ll ensure every property is guest-ready, meets our brand expectations, and reflects our commitment to delighting both owners and guests.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and deliver high cleaning standards across your assigned property portfolio
  • Collaborate with third-party cleaning teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to continuously enhance the guest experience
  • Partner with property owners to recommend and support property improvements
  • Analyse performance data to drive quality, cost, and process improvements
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing supply of cleaning partners to meet current and future demand

Who we’re looking for

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy being out and about, working with local partners, and taking pride in maintaining high standards. You’re someone who spots details others might miss and uses both data and initiative to solve problems.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • A strong focus on quality, thoroughness, and accountability
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers or service partners
  • Confidence using data and feedback to inform decisions and improvements
  • A proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure properties consistently meet Awaze cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Build strong relationships with cleaning partners to drive performance and engagement
  • Improve guest satisfaction scores related to cleanliness
  • Strengthen owner confidence through proactive communication and improvement suggestions
  • Contribute to operational efficiency and cost control across the region

Worth knowing

Our Property Assistant role is part-time, fixed-term contract (28 hours per week, 3 month contract) and is based in North Yorkshire - ideally the Leyburn, Richmond or Catterick areas. While the position is advertised as Home Based, the successful candidate will need to live in North Yorkshire so they are closer to our holiday homes. Our office hours are 9-5 Monday-Saturday, and so flexibility to work weekends is essential.
