Senior Platform Engineer - Security

Why a CV for this job?
- They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
- It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
- In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
- Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and security. We are looking for an inquisitive, highly thorough engineer who analyzes complex systems across AWS, networking, client-server, and web layers to identify vulnerabilities and structural weaknesses.
We’re looking for someone who understands more than a single cloud tool, we need a problem solver with deep technical instincts and a relentless drive to investigate root causes. If you naturally question assumptions, pull threads until issues are fully resolved, and want to apply that rigor to infrastructure security, this role is for you.
You will partner with platform, software, and data engineering teams to integrate security directly into core infrastructure and development workflows.
Why join us?

Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.
About you
- Proven background in infrastructure engineering across AWS and core networking principles
- Demonstrated inquisitiveness and attention to detail — a track record of investigating unexpected behavior to complete root-cause resolution
- Strong active interest in cloud security fundamentals and defensive engineering
- High autonomy and ownership; able to drive complex technical tasks without requiring predefined playbooks
- Clear technical communication skills to influence engineering teams across the organization
- Practical coding experience (Python, Go, or similar) along with hands-on Terraform and CI/CD knowledge
Nice to have
- Experience with CSPM tools (e.g., CrowdStrike) or enterprise identity management (Okta, Google Workspace, Kandji, Intune)
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes administration and security practices
- Background in systems administration or network security
How you will spend your time
- Audit and advise on how to harden, and configure AWS infrastructure and core networking stack
- Integrate automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Manage security posture across Kubernetes clusters and CrowdStrike CSPM environments
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into security incidents and edge cases, delivering end-to-end remediation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence architectural and security decisions early in design cycles
- Develop automation to eliminate repetitive security tasks, leveraging AI tools where effective
- Own key infrastructure security initiatives with mentorship from engineering leadership
Success looks like
- You are recognized as a key technical resource for cloud infrastructure security across engineering
- Our whole engineering team benefits from a greater understanding and appreciation of the benefits of security in our cloud platforms
- Core AWS and Kubernetes environments are measurably hardened and automated
- Manual security operations and toil are systematically reduced through custom automation and tool integration
