Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

The Role

Clifford Chance is seeking a Real Estate Associate with at least four years of experience to join its Real Estate practice, with a particular focus on supporting the continued growth of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice.

Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, option agreements, access agreements and other site-control documentation; conducting and managing title, survey and other real estate due diligence; and identifying and resolving real estate issues affecting project development and financing. The associate will work closely with clients, counterparties, title companies, surveyors, consultants and attorneys across practice areas, while also gaining exposure to broader commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects and financings.

Your experience

  • Experience with real estate matters relating to energy, renewable energy or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
  • Experience with title and survey review, site control, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, easements and related real estate documentation.
  • Experience supporting financing transactions from a real estate perspective is particularly valuable.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and project-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across practice areas and manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong written and verbal communication skills.
