Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

WHY FLIGHTSTORY.

You'll lead a growing team across UK sales and global partner management, work across UK and US, and help shape our international commercial strategy, with a direct line to the CRO. We value ambition, resilience, humility and urgency, and people who are obsessed with getting better.

Lead the team that sells FlightStory's UK creator slate.

FlightStory works at the forefront of creator-led brand partnerships. We're looking for a Sales Director to lead our UK brand partnerships function, reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer. You'll own the commercial number for our UK slate, Begin Again with Davina McCall and We Need to Talk with Paul C. Brunson, and work with our US team on cross-show partnerships across The Diary of a CEO and Hot Smart Rich.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN.

  • The team. Lead and coach a team of four brand partnership sellers and our Head of Global Partner Management, working closely with our creative and partner management teams.
  • The number. Own the UK target, forecast and revenue pacing, and report performance to senior leadership and our creators.
  • The deals. Sell and renew partnerships across podcast sponsorship, branded content, social, product collaborations and new formats.
  • The relationships. Build C-level client and holding company relationships, and deliver an exceptional client experience from pitch to renewal.
  • What's next. Develop new commercial formats, pricing structures and go-to-market strategies that grow our partnership offering.
  • The engine. Own sales operations, CRM, pipeline management and deal execution, with processes built to scale.
  • The pitch. Work with our creative team on pitches that win and renew business.

YOU'LL LOVE THIS IF.

  • You've led teams that deliver revenue at multi-million scale, and you always know where you are against target
  • You have established relationships with UK agency holding companies and senior clients
  • You know the creator, talent or podcast economy and how brands buy into it
  • You bring startup or scale-up energy and enjoy building from zero to one
  • You’re happy to roll your sleeves up, and get hands on
  • You're AI-first: you use tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Grok day to day
  • You take ownership, and hold yourself and your team accountable for results
