Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

Drive the accuracy and insight that keep our network moving

As a Senior Design Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our Network Design team — ensuring the smooth, efficient and compliant flow of information that underpins safe and effective operation of our gas network. Your work will directly support the design, modelling and technical processes that help us accept new connections, identify reinforcement needs, and deliver a high-quality, reliable service for our customers.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a busy, data‑driven environment and loves being part of a team where accuracy, organisation, and collaboration really matter. You’ll work closely with Design Officers, Analysts and stakeholders across the network, helping ensure our systems, reports, action logs and design tools are updated, reliable and compliant. You’ll also play a key role in improving processes, maintaining best practice, and delivering brilliant customer service to internal and external partners.

It’s an exciting opportunity to join a team where no two days are the same — and where your contribution will have a direct impact on the safety, performance and efficiency of our operation.

Why you’ll love this role

Operational Impact – Support key design activities that ensure the safety, compliance and performance of the gas network.

Technical Insight – Work with modelling tools, data cleansing activities, SAP DMS, ESRI and core systems that underpin design decisions.

Team Collaboration – Partner with Design Officers, Analysts, Local Delivery Partners and internal stakeholders across our operations teams.

Continuous Improvement – Help shape better processes, produce guidance documents, and highlight opportunities to improve how we work.

Customer Focus – Deliver clear, timely and reliable service to all stakeholders you support.

What you’ll bring

Proven organisational and admin skills

IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

Ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict or challenging deadlines

Confident communicator – written and verbal – with stakeholders at all levels

Self‑motivated and able to work independently or within a busy team

Understanding of RIIO regulatory framework and commercial requirements (advantageous)

Knowledge of DPRS, IDS, ESRI, GBNA (desirable)

Join us as a Senior Design Administrator and help shape the data, insights and processes that keep our network safe, reliable and ready for the future.

Disclaimer: While the closing date is set as mentioned, we reserve the right to close the application process earlier if necessary, depending on the unique circumstances of each role.
