AxiomSL Implementation Consultant – Cloud, Java/Python & Agile SDLC

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an AxiomSL Implementation Consultant with experience in software development, technology implementation, Agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves understanding technology and business requirements, designing appropriate solutions, preparing technical specifications, supporting implementation activities, and contributing to software quality and maintainability.

The consultant will work across technology teams to support implementation initiatives involving mobile, cloud, IoT, blockchain, and related platforms where applicable. The role contributes to business objectives by delivering well-documented, maintainable, and thoroughly tested technology solutions that respond to changing business needs.

Overall Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
• Support the implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and integration of technology solutions.
• Develop technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features and enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs, implementation tasks, acceptance considerations, and delivery documentation.
• Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements and suggest ways to incorporate relevant capabilities into existing solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to support code quality, maintainability, consistency, and adherence to applicable development standards.
• Participate in the resolution of technical issues and provide technical support to team members.
• Collaborate with the testing team to ensure that software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet agreed quality standards.
• Participate in SDLC activities, including planning, analysis, development, testing, deployment, support, and documentation.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, project planning, estimation, and delivery reviews.
• Identify risks, dependencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities and communicate them through appropriate channels.
• Support sustainable technology practices by encouraging reusable components, maintainable solutions, efficient processing, and long-term supportability.
• Deliver assigned implementation activities in accordance with agreed requirements, quality standards, timelines, and technical controls.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions to review progress, priorities, dependencies, risks, and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design solutions, prepare technical specifications, and support feature delivery.
• Write, test, review, document, and support the deployment of software solutions while working with testing teams to address defects and quality requirements.
• Provide technical support, contribute to implementation decisions within the agreed scope, evaluate relevant technology developments, and escalate material risks or dependencies when required.

Essential

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Ability to understand, develop, review, test, and maintain software components.
• Understanding of programming practices that support maintainability, scalability, readability, and testability.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and contribute to implementation design.

Preferred

• Experience with more than one programming language.
• Familiarity with scripting for automation, testing, deployment, or technical support.
• Experience with programming languages relevant to mobile, cloud, IoT, blockchain, or platform integration solutions.

Essential

• Understanding of how applications and technology platforms store, access, exchange, and validate data.
• Ability to define or review data-related requirements as part of technical specifications.
• Awareness of data integrity, data validation, access, and documentation considerations.

Preferred

• Experience working with relational or non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with data integration, APIs, data reporting, metadata, or structured data exchange.
• Experience supporting technology solutions involving regulatory, operational, or business data.

• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and their role in software implementation and delivery.
• Awareness of cloud-related considerations such as scalability, availability, deployment, integration, security, and support.
• Ability to collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams when developing or implementing cloud-based solutions.

• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting cloud-based applications or services.

• Understanding of efficient cloud resource usage and sustainable technology practices.

• Ability to work with frameworks, libraries, platforms, and technology components relevant to assigned implementation work.
• Understanding of software integration, reusable components, dependencies, and compatibility considerations.
• Ability to evaluate the impact of framework or platform changes on solution design and maintainability.

• Experience with frameworks and libraries used for Java, Python, Node.js, mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain solutions.
• Familiarity with API frameworks, integration libraries, testing libraries, or deployment components.
• Exposure to platform-specific implementation frameworks relevant to AxiomSL or comparable solutions.

Essential

• Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including iterative planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog or task management.
• Experience with Git or an equivalent source-control system.
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, or comparable tools for work tracking and technical documentation.
• Experience participating in code reviews, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and technical support.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout implementation and delivery activities.

Preferred

• Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, build, release, and deployment tools.
• Experience with technical estimation, implementation planning, release management, and solution governance.
• Exposure to architecture documentation, design reviews, process improvement, or technology evaluation practices.

Essential

• Awareness of secure software development and technology implementation practices.
• Understanding of access control, authentication, authorization, secure data handling, and protection of sensitive information.
• Ability to consider security, privacy, and operational risks when developing technical specifications and solutions.

Preferred

• Familiarity with secure API integration, encryption, secrets management, security testing, and auditability.
• Experience supporting technology solutions subject to formal security, privacy, compliance, or governance requirements.
• Awareness of security considerations for cloud, mobile, IoT, blockchain, and distributed technology platforms.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, technology implementation, technical consulting, solution engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with one or more of mobile, cloud, IoT, blockchain, or related technology platforms.
• Experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, supporting testing, resolving technical issues, and maintaining implementation documentation.
• Experience with AxiomSL implementation or comparable platform implementation is preferred.
• Industry experience in technology, software development, financial technology, data platforms, or enterprise solutions is preferred.
• Candidates may also qualify through equivalent combinations of software development, technology consulting, platform implementation, systems integration, technical analysis, or solution delivery experience that demonstrate the required skills and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development, technology implementation, or a related field is required.
• Certification in software development, cloud technologies, Agile delivery, technology architecture, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant training in SDLC, Agile methodologies, programming, cloud platforms, technical documentation, testing, security, or platform implementation is preferred.
• Commitment to continuous professional development through technical learning, knowledge sharing, certification, and awareness of evolving technology platforms and implementation practices.

Required Software Skills

• Strong understanding of technology platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with software development tools and practices, including Git, JIRA, Confluence, source control, documentation, and work tracking.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, solution documentation, implementation notes, and feature-level requirements.
• Experience participating in code reviews, software testing, defect resolution, and technical support activities.
• Experience working with the software, programming language, documentation, source-control, and project-management tool versions used by the assigned Synechron project.

Preferred Software Skills

• Experience implementing or integrating technology solutions across mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing, build, deployment, monitoring, and release-management tools.
• Experience with API integration, distributed systems, data exchange, or platform interoperability.
• Familiarity with technology architecture, design patterns, and solution documentation practices.
• Experience working with AxiomSL implementation activities or comparable financial technology, regulatory technology, or data-reporting platforms.

Equivalent tools and technologies may be considered where they provide comparable capabilities.
