Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

  • Process Improvement: Actively refine test strategies and lead at least one QA improvement initiative per quarter using data-backed proposals.
  • Metrics & Visibility: Contribute to QA dashboards tracking regression health, defect trends, and automation coverage to prioritize QA efforts.
  • Best Practices & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to technical discussions, drive adoption of new technologies/tools, and share knowledge across the wider Engineering department.

Test Automation & Execution

  • Automation Frameworks: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API environments.
  • Scripting & Tooling: Write clean scripts in standard languages (Java, JavaScript) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance testing efficiency
  • API Testing: Perform isolated API testing using Postman or similar tools based on RESTful API principles and JSON/XML data formats.
  • Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Ensure seamless performance across a broad array of browsers and mobile devices.
  • Test Case Design & Methodologies: Design comprehensive test cases based on requirements and user stories. Utilize manual, automated, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies.

Delivery, Leadership & Collaboration

  • CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Integrate automated deployment tests using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Git version control.
  • Agile Integration: Collaborate within cross-functional teams, participate in sprint ceremonies, and track defects using Jira.
  • Peer Reviews & Mentorship: Conduct code/technical reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers, and mentor junior QA engineers.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain comprehensive QA documentation. Articulate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Tooling Expectations

  • Web Automation: Playwright / Selenium
  • Mobile Automation: Appium
  • API Testing: Postman / RESTful Services
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Jenkins / GitLab CI
  • Version Control & Management: Git, Jira, Confluence
  • Languages: Java or JavaScript

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with an IC4 (Senior/Lead) mindset defined by ownership and pragmatism.
  • Deep expertise in test automation across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  • Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API testing tools.
  • Solid grasp of version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab CI).
  • Meticulous attention to detail with systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills and experience reviewing code or mentoring engineers.
  • Ability to work on-site in our Norwich (UK) or Sofia (Bulgaria) offices.
