Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

  • Support projects involving site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, roads, parking areas, underground utilities, foundations, structural steel, concrete, and building modifications.
  • Evaluate existing site and structural conditions; identify constraints, risks, and required remediation or reinforcement measures.
  • Review engineering design packages for technical quality, code compliance, constructability, maintainability, safety, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, and facility engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project solutions.
  • Lead technical aspects of capital projects from feasibility and concept development through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Travel as needed to support site assessments, project meetings, design workshops, construction reviews, inspections, commissioning, and operational-readiness activities.
  • Provide technical support during construction, including field observations, resolution of design issues, review of contractor submittals, and evaluation of change requests.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, structural standards, civil design requirements, permitting obligations, and environmental regulations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of civil and structural engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, and standard details.
  • Identify design risks, recommend practical mitigations, and support risk assessments associated with facility modifications, infrastructure reliability, and site conditions.
  • Support commissioning and turnover activities to confirm civil and structural systems meet intended-use and operational requirements.
  • Monitor industry practices, codes, standards, and emerging technologies; incorporate relevant improvements into engineering standards and project delivery practices.
