Practice Manager - Consultancy

Why a CV for this job?
- They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
- It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
- In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
- Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

Life on the team
We’re looking for an experienced Practice Manager to lead and develop our Network & Security Consultancy community.
You’ll be responsible for a talented team of consultants, solution architects and technical specialists, building the skills and capabilities we need to meet changing customer demand.
This is a senior leadership role combining people leadership, commercial management, technology strategy and customer engagement. You’ll work closely with sales, delivery teams, customers and leading technology partners, helping us grow our Network & Security consultancy capabilities while ensuring we continue to deliver great outcomes for our customers.
What you'll do
Lead and develop our Network & Security Consultancy practice, setting clear direction and priorities.
Build, develop and retain a high-performing community of consultants, architects and specialists.
Shape workforce plans, recruitment, skills development, certifications and succession planning.
Support major customer opportunities, bids and strategic conversations alongside sales and presales teams.
Provide senior oversight and guidance across complex or high-risk customer engagements.
Take responsibility for practice performance, including revenue, margin, utilisation, forecasting and investment.
Develop consultancy services that respond to customer needs and market trends.
Build strong relationships with key technology partners and vendors.
Drive consistent standards across technical governance, architecture and delivery.
Create a collaborative culture focused on development, technical excellence and customer outcomes.
What you'll need
Leadership experience within Network & Security, IT Consultancy, Professional Services or a similar technology environment.
Experience managing and developing technical consultants, architects or specialist teams.
A good understanding of enterprise networking and cybersecurity technologies and market trends.
Strong commercial awareness, ideally with experience across revenue, margin, budgets or utilisation.
Experience supporting customer opportunities, bids, proposals or strategic engagements.
Strong people leadership skills, including recruitment, development and workforce planning.
Experience overseeing complex technology projects and managing delivery risk.
The confidence to engage with senior customers, internal stakeholders and technology partners.
Strong communication, relationship-building and decision-making skills.
A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people and growing capability.
Knowledge across areas such as enterprise networking, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, firewalls, cloud security, identity, Zero Trust and cyber defence would be beneficial. Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Netskope, CyberArk or Microsoft would also be an advantage, but we wouldn’t expect you to be an expert across every technology.
If you’re looking for a senior leadership opportunity where you can combine people development, technology, commercial responsibility and customer engagement while shaping the future of a Network & Security consultancy practice, we’d love to hear from you.
