Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

As Senior Product Expert for EasyPower, Bentley's software solution for electrical power system modelling and simulation, you will sit at the intersection of deep technical expertise and real-world product impact. Working closely with Product Management, you will translate complex engineering workflows, industry practices, and emerging market needs into clear product direction across design, analysis, operations, and safety.

This is a thought leadership role with genuine influence: you will shape roadmap priorities from the inside and represent EasyPower externally through technical papers, conferences, webinars, and strategic customer engagements.

If you are an experienced power systems engineer who wants to shape both a product and an industry conversation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Product Expertise and Strategy

  • Apply deep knowledge of electrical engineering workflows, industry practices, and applicable standards to guide product direction and feature development
  • Bring domain, customer, workflow, industry, and competitive insight to roadmap discussions, prioritization decisions, and strategic opportunities

Product Development and Validation

  • Shape features from the ground up by providing technical and workflow input during feature definition and reviewing functional requirements, designs, and intended behavior for engineering accuracy and practical usability
  • Lead end-user testing, customer validation, workflow reviews, and structured feedback cycles to ensure the product meets real-world engineering needs
  • Strengthen release quality by identifying critical engineering scenarios, technical risks, validation priorities, expected results, and release-readiness considerations

Market Presence and Thought Leadership

  • Elevate EasyPower's credibility in the market by authoring white papers, technical papers, case studies, and presentations that communicate product value and engineering depth
  • Inform go-to-market strategies through technical positioning, messaging input, and solution-oriented content
  • Support sales through technical enablement, competitive insight, product demonstrations, and participation in strategic customer opportunities
  • Contribute to competitive analysis and identify opportunities for differentiation, innovation, and stronger market adoption

Customer Enablement and Training

  • Create user guides and instructional materials that empower customers to apply EasyPower effectively in real-world engineering workflows
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, workshops, exercises, and technical guidance, for both customers and internal teams
  • Build technical confidence across sales, support, services, and marketing through targeted internal training and enablement
  • Partner with engineering, QA, support, documentation, and training teams to keep all product and educational materials technically accurate and current

Logistics

  • This is a full-time, individual contributor role expected to work 40 hours per week, based in Portland, OR, Exton, or Philadelphia, PA.
  • Requires infrequent travel to a Bentley office location.

  • Substantial hands-on experience with industrial or commercial power distribution systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry practices.
