Why a CV for this job?

94% of employers say their filters drop qualified candidates whose CV does not match the ad's exact criteria (Harvard Business School, 2021).

  • They see what they asked for, first. Your experience that matches the ad leads, in the ad's own words, so someone skimming finds it in seconds.
  • It gets past the software. Many larger employers use software that ranks CVs by how closely they match the ad, often before anyone reads them.
  • In the language of the ad. An ad written in Spanish gets a CV in Spanish, even when yours is in Portuguese.
  • Your facts, nothing invented. Your own experience, reordered and reworded. What the ad wants and your CV does not show is listed for you to add, only if it is true. You check it before you send it.

Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking an AI Product Manager to own the building and commercialization of new AI solutions across our Sustainability and Climate (S&C) product suite. Responsibilities will include owning and expanding our new MCP / MSCI AI Insights solution and leading the build and commercialization of new AI agents for the S&C business.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management capabilities with a deep understanding of data, data distribution (API, Snowflake, etc), emerging AI applications, and the needs and workflows of investors and other regulated financial services clients. You will work closely with Product, Research, Engineering, Data Operations, Legal and Client Coverage colleagues to define and deliver AI-powered capabilities that unlock value at scale. You will interact with clients to understand their evolving needs in relation to AI, and with potential third party partners to establish new business growth opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Product & solution vision (cross-functional leadership): Own the product vision for AI interfaces and agent solutions — including S&C data AI-readiness, MCP, AI Insights and agentic workflow tools — identifying client needs and use cases, sizing opportunities, creating prototypes with relevant cross-functional stakeholders and validating ideas with clients, translating prototypes into requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering, and leading launch and commercialization with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Ownership of the S&C MCP and AI Insights interface: Own the ongoing running and enhancement of our new S&C MCP, and accompanying AI Insights platform experience on MSCI ONE.
  • Partnership with Product, data, and research experts: Work closely with product, data, and research experts to define target use cases, understand client workflows (today and in future AI-first world) and ground truth for AI products, and map the datasets, dashboards, and sources those features draw from.
  • Documentation and enablement: Own and build documentation for internal training, client enablement, and ongoing feature updates, keeping it aligned with the underlying data model as datasets, factors, and dashboards evolve.
  • Sustainability and climate data expertise: Maintain a working understanding of MSCI's S&C datasets and the data structures and taxonomy unique to each, using that expertise to validate AI-generated outputs against methodology before they reach clients.
  • Distribution and delivery mechanisms: Understand how S&C data reaches its clients via API, Datafeeds, Snowflake, and platforms such as MSCI ONE, and partner with engineering on the data architecture questions that affect how MCP tools and AI Insights query and present that data, and ensure S&C data is AI-ready for consumption by client AI assistants and third-party AI connectors. Partner closely with the Product owner for S&C Data Distribution to ensure all S&C datasets are transformed to be “AI-ready” and high-performing within our AI tools.
  • Senior stakeholder communication: Present product vision, roadmap, and business cases — including pricing and packaging options — to senior stakeholders for alignment and investment, and support client AI-governance and due-diligence questionnaires with Legal and Compliance.
  • Client-facing validation: Lead client presentations, demos, and working sessions with senior client stakeholders to validate direction and build advocacy ahead of launch, representing the voice of the client in prioritization trade-offs.
  • Roadmap ownership and success metrics: Own the end-to-end roadmap for AI interfaces and agent solutions, including S&C data AI-readiness, MCP, AI Insights, and agentic tools. Report adoption, quality, and business-impact metrics to leadership on a regular cadence.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 7+ years in product management or other related role, including ownership of AI/ML-enabled or data-distribution products — financial data, ESG/sustainability, or index/analytics experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of sustainability and climate data domains (ESG ratings & scores, sustainability data, carbon emissions and climate risk metrics, etc) and comfort with complex, evolving data taxonomies.
  • Working knowledge of AI/LLM concepts: retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, vector embeddings, similarity scoring, hallucination mitigation, agentic AI architectures, and MCP or comparable tool-calling protocols.
  • Familiarity with data distribution mechanisms — APIs, data feeds, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake), and client-facing UI platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements for engineering and user documentation for clients.
  • Strong executive presence — comfortable presenting to senior internal stakeholders and high-profile client stakeholders.
  • Track record of excellent cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Research, Programme Management, Legal, Client Coverage and Marketing.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and curiosity for learning about and using cutting-edge AI tools and technologies
