The Opportunity

Join a local government repairs team delivering plumbing and multi-trade maintenance across council homes and other properties in Northwest London. You will complete safe, high-quality repairs, renewals and installations, with a strong focus on customer service and getting the job right the first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete plumbing repairs to pipework, drainage and sanitary installations.
  • Deliver reactive, planned and void-property repairs.
  • Carry out associated plumbing, tiling and making-good work.
  • Diagnose faults and choose practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide a professional service in residents’ homes.
  • Work in line with health and safety requirements and current regulations.
  • Update job records and manage materials using mobile systems.

What You Will Need

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, or an equivalent qualification.
  • More than five years’ experience in social housing repairs or maintenance.
  • Practical multi-trade skills, including fault-finding.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Clear customer communication, administration and basic digital record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compliance Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Five-year work history and satisfactory references.
  • Mandatory pre-engagement screening.
