About the Client

This is a FinTech company in Riga that provides payment solutions for e-commerce businesses. We are looking for a Legal Operations & Expansion Specialist to join our Business Development department and support the corporate and legal setup of new projects.

We also welcome candidates from business development, key account management, and corporate onboarding roles who have hands-on experience with legal documentation, company setup, and external advisor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the setup of new legal entities across jurisdictions, including collecting information, preparing documentation, and tracking registration milestones.
  • Research and engage local legal counsel, corporate service providers, and tax advisors.
  • Prepare clear briefs for external advisors, communicate business requirements, and follow up on deliverables and deadlines.
  • Review documents prepared by external providers for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project requirements.
  • Support licensing processes by coordinating documentation and communication between external advisors and internal teams.
  • Collect, organise, and maintain corporate records and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to company business plans and supporting materials required for new projects, registrations, and applications.
  • Assist with practical setup requirements, including office arrangements and coordination with local service providers.
  • Coordinate communication between external tax advisors and the internal accounting team.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory developments and summarise their potential implications for ongoing and planned projects.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in legal operations, corporate services, company incorporation, regulatory support, compliance, or a related field.
  • A degree in law is strongly preferred. Relevant practical legal experience gained in a consulting, corporate services, or outsourced legal/compliance environment will also be considered.
  • An understanding of company incorporation processes and the corporate documents required to establish and maintain legal entities.
  • Experience coordinating with external lawyers, consultants, corporate service providers, or regulatory advisors.
  • Strong document review skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional fluency in English and Russian, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to work from our office in central Riga.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to contribute to new projects within an established international FinTech group.
  • Practical exposure to company incorporation, legal operations, and business expansion across jurisdictions.
  • Opportunities to grow in responsibility, expertise, and compensation.
  • A fully equipped office in central Riga.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Paid parking near the office.
  • Reimbursement for eligible everyday expenses, including transport, sports, and subscriptions.
  • Birthday and work anniversary gifts, company events, and team activities.

Apply with your CV in English. We would be happy to learn about your experience with corporate documentation, company formation, and coordinating projects across jurisdictions.

Strong Advantage

  • Experience within a licensed payment company, EMI, PI, or a consultancy supporting FinTech businesses.
  • Exposure to multiple jurisdictions, international corporate structures, or licensing projects.
  • Experience preparing business plans, internal policies, or documentation for financial services businesses.
